Slang Words

I love all about British, so I searched it on the site http://projectbritain.com, and I found some slang words in British. They are very interesting to know. Let's see these :

Below are a few slang words commonly used in Britain.

Bloke - man.
'John is a nice bloke to know.'
Botched - poor quality repairs.
'He made a botched job of fixing the television.'
Bottle - courage.
'He doesn't have the bottle to ask her.'
Cheesed Off - fed up
Chuck it down - to rain, often heavily.
'It is going to chuck it down soon.'
Chuffed - If you are chuffed, you are happy with something.
'I was chuffed to win a medal!'
Daft - Crazy / stupid
Dosh - Money / cash 'I haven't got much dosh to give you.'
Gobsmacked - Incredibly amazed.
'I was gobsmacked when I saw my birthday presents.'
Gutted - Not happy because of an event that has occurred that didn't go your way.
'I was gutted when I didn't win the race'
Jammy - Used in place of lucky when describing someone else.
'He was very jammy winning the lottery'.
Scrummy - Delicious. Shortened from scrumptious.
'The food was very scrummy'
Skint - Broke. No money.
'I'm skint, I wont be able to buy the DVD today.'
to Snog - to long kiss
Telly - Television
'I watched the news on the telly last night.'

afraid..

I just feel afraid today..
Afraid of the robber in the market who would open my bag,
Afraid of the earthquake which happened four hours ago,
Afraid of the condition of my family in Curup, because the earthquake often happened there,
Afraid of the illness which hurt my boy's physic,
and afraid of the rainstrom that usually happened at midninght recently..


And one key to solve it : PRAY to ALLAH SWT., hope all is well

I Hate Cockroach!!

When I hear the word "Cockroach", I feel digusted directly. I really hate that animal since I was a child. Cockroach is the worse animal that I have ever seen. It has a terrible legs, and it also has the wings. I often feel afraid when it flies near me. I never want if the cockroach lies on my head, hands, legs, or any parts of my body.
Why I really HATE cockroaches?
I do not like to see their bodies. They look like a monster to me. They also have lied on my face when I was sleeping, and that event made me to hate cockroaches forever. They also bring some illnesses to our body, and they love to live in the dirty places. So abominate!!
I always keep my room cleanly, but I do not know why a cockroach stiil on in the my room. I ever cried when I saw it, because I was really afraid at that time. My father usually helped me to kill the cockroach, he is truly my hero.

Now, I am trying not to afraid when the cockroaches come. I still keep my room cleanly and I am always aware of  their coming, so I can kill them directly by using the mosquito's poison.

Concentration

Do you think a concentration is important? Why it is so important, especially in learning? well, I have written just a little bit about it. Check this out!

Concentration is an important element which must be on in learning, especially at a university. We always need it to think, comprehend, and remember the lesson. The good mark on a subject can we get if we have the full concentration in learning process. In fact, improving the concentration is not an easy job for some of the university’s students because there are many students who still find some difficulties to comprehend the lesson. They get the lack of concentration because of some factors. When we are thinking about something, the concentration is needed to make you become easier on thinking. We just focus on one topic to be concentrated. If we on the classroom and learning a subject, we just focus on thinking and concentrating about that subject, not about the other subject. When our concentration is devided into two or many, we can called it the lack of concentration. Having two or more focuses can make our concentration become blank on a subject. We not only think about teh subject but also think about the other subjects, and it makes our concentration becomes run. When it happens, we have to grain ourself to improve the concentration in learning.

Stress-->GO AWAY!!

"All of my assignments become a monster who wants to kill me..arrrgh!!"

Actually, when you are on this condition, you have to make your brain as fresh as possible. Listen a music is one of some good ways to "kill" the stress. Choose your favorite music and sing it. When you feel a little bit better, try to do your assignments within listening that music. You can play the classical music, because it is better to your brain, related to a scientist's opinion that a classical music can grow the function of human brain.

You also can go hang out with your friends until you really feel fresh. Do not go too long because you have many assignment to do. You just need to refresh your brain. In my opinion, the best place for it is in the beach. The beach can make you feel calm.

Buying some snacks to make you not feeling bored also the way to kill the stress. Do not buy a lot of snacks because you need to finish your assignments.

Gado-Gado (???)

I just went around to see some good views around my home with someone who made me happy today,hehe

I also drank a bowl of "Es Rumput Laut Pattimura", and I missed it so much. The taste is very delicious. I was also happy because the rain would not come although I still thought that the rain would come.

When I arrrived at home, I remembered about my assignments, and they are so many and many and it made my stomach became hurt. I did not know what I have to do with my condition, but I can write something in my blog right now. I just feel "Gado-Gado" now..and also I hope tomorrow will be better than today.

Immortal, First Love Never Dies

I love this novel so much. This story is a gothic romance. I do not like all about horror, but I love this novel although it is a little bit horror at the first chapter. Actually, this novel is romance at all.

Evie Johnson is the main character in here, and also her boyfriend, Sebastian James. She is a girl who do not believe in magic, but all is changing when she knew Sebastian and go to Wyldcliffe school. Many unbeliveable things happened in Wyldcliffe, and they could tell about her flashback, and Sebastian's dark life.
